Description
The JBL Summit Pumori is named after the majestic Mount Pumori, which, at 7,161 m (23,494 ft) high, lies just 8 km west of Mount Everest and is often referred to as "Everest's daughter." Much like mountaineers use Pumori to prepare for Everest, the Summit Pumori represents the highest audiophile standards.
The Summit Pumori features newly developed drivers. Starting with JBL's patented D2815K 38 mm (1.5") dual-diaphragm compression driver with two drive units, coupled with a large-format Sonoglass® High-Definition Imaging (HDI™) horn. The Summit Pumori's sonic foundation consists of a 200 mm (8") midrange driver and a 250 mm (10") woofer, both in a cast-frame design. Both drivers utilize a three-layer Hybrid Carbon-Cellulose Composite (HC4) cone, consisting of a patented blend of carbon fiber and pure cellulose on the front and back, surrounding a closed-cell foam core. This hybrid cone construction ensures optimal stiffness, mass, and structural stability – for high performance, low distortion, and maximum power handling.
